Maher - President of Niagara University ​                   Mr. Hung Le - Associate Vice President for International Affairs On March 25, 2016, Dong Nai Technology University had a meeting with representatives from Niagara University, Mr. Rev. James J. Maher, Chairman of the Board - President and Mr. Hung Le - Associate Vice President for International Affairs, at Sheraton Hotel, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. For Dong Nai Technology University with the representation of President - Ms. Vo Thi Thanh Hoa, PhD. Phan Ngoc Son - Rector and TS. Tran Thi Quynh Le - Head of International Cooperation Department. At the meeting, both parties discussed cooperative opportunities in the aspects of education and training with Dong Nai Technology University, especially student exchange program between two parties. Through the meeting, both parties discussed the plan of visiting and working together with Niagara University in near future. In addition, representatives from two parties implemented a program included faculties of Dong Nai Technology University to study management experience, innovative teaching methods, is training, internship courses, curriculum framework, curriculum development and programmes for student exchanges and scholarships for students. Dr. Phan Ngoc Son said that this will create favorable conditions for cooperation between two parties to reach the best efficiency in order to open up new opportunities, aims to foster desires of two schools as well as contribute to enhance the relationship between two countries Vietnam - The United States.

(Memorandum of understanding) with some specific contents are as follows: 1. Students who majored in Korean Students enrolled in the courses are conducted in English, and must reach a certain English ability. Students majored in Korean is Dankook University scholarships Korean full three (03) semester to students who achieve TOPIK level 3, qualified majored in Korean. The students are learning Korean at Dankook University before entering the academy. 2: Scholarships Students are nominated by the University of Technology of Dong Nai to admission to Dankook University will receive a scholarship equivalent to eighty percent (80%) of tuition. Other parts of the scholarships will be for shelter and internship opportunities for students. 03.23.2016, the meeting between representatives of Bournemouth University (UK) and Dong Nai University Technology was held in Meeting Room 4 (DNTU's Library) at 3p.m with the presence of Dr.Dang Kim Triet and Head of International Cooperation Department - Dr. Tran Thi Quynh Le. The purpose of important goals is for cooperation and international training  as well as transition training (2 + 2/3 + 1) or the intensive research between two universities. Two parties spent time introducing sharply about  their schools. Bournemouth University is located away from the University of London - United Kingdom less than 2 hours by train. There is  a total of 18,000 students, including 1,500 students from 130 countries around the world. In 2006, Bournermouth University was honored among the top of 200 international universities by Times Higher Education World poll. "I am really amazed by the rapid reform of Dong Nai Technology University after nearly 2 years returning. I also believe in the prospect of cooperation between our two schools in the future. This time I return to DNTU is to tighten the affection and relationship between the two schools and expect the things we have signed before must be done faster, more". This is the speeching of Mr. James J.Maher - Board Chairman and Rector of University of Niagara (USA) when returning to visit Dong Nai University of Technology in the morning of August 24, 2016. Like brothers. It was a common feeling for all when Mr. James J. Maher and Secretary Ngo Thi Dieu Thuy of Niagara University returned to visit Dong Nai Technology University on the morning of August 24, 2016. The atmosphere of the talk at the Rector's office was so cozy - as in a family, there was no language or geographic distance. There are no written agreements but only a sincere exchange of achievements and prospects of cooperation between the two sides. Mr. James J.Maher cannot hide the feeling of returning to DNTU and see this as part of his school. Next and working with Janes J. Maher at the Rector's Office, in addition to Dr. Phan Ngoc Son, there are two Vice Rectors - Dr. Tan Duc Thuan, Dr. Doan Manh Quynh - and Dr. Tran Thi Quynh Le, Dean of the International Relations Department. From Niagara lessons in building facilities, equipment and welfare facilities to serve the learner, Dr. Phan Ngoc Son has determined to build an integrated center and cultural complex - Modern sports despite facing many difficulties piling up. Not equal to Niagara but investment for facilities is a strategic long-term, sustainable. "Only that, we have the conditions to improve the quality and change teaching methods and also expressed the enthusiasm of DNTU is to pursue the goal of building DNTU into a modern university with Regional and international, "Phan Ngoc Son emphasized in the seminar. ... and the DNTU Board of Management during the discussion As the person who charges of teaching and training, Dr. Pham Duc Thuan expressed his determination to study Niagara on a number of issues in content and training methods. On that basis, DNTU has been doing a lot of innovations, demonstrating by the significant reduction of some theoretical lessons to enhance the practice and hone the skills. Promote learning English through the policy of opening Language Centers and increasing the amount of foreign language learning for students from the first year. DNTU committed over 75% of students after graduation have the ability to speak foreign languages in the process of contact with enterprises, find a job. Besides, it is the determination of the whole system to change the teaching method and training the faculty. To have a system like Niagara - DNTU still has to go through many years but now must have the basic foundation. In addition to in-depth knowledge, DNTU requires each lecturer to grasp the advanced methods of education, fluent in at least one foreign language. DNTU has teamed up with Niagara to exchange lecturers. This year, there will be at least 10 lecturers from DNTU to practice in the United States. Firstly, the Deans and Vice Deans of Faculties and in 2017 will be the trainers. Putting students to attend summer camp or study in Niagara in the coming years has been agreed by the two sides. Along with the fun of DNTU before the new school year, Mr. James J.Maher with Dr. Phan Ngoc Son and the teachers in Board of Managers visit DNTU.. At present, Niagara has 50 students in the Asian region studying, including many Vietnamese students. They always get the support and help of the school. We have a team of professors who are not only good at their subject but also know the circumstances and abilities of each student and support the development of students. I want to accelerate the exchange of students as well as master training in Niagara, wanting more DNTU tutors to be working in Niagara during the admission season. " He emphasized. James J. Maher spoke at the reception Dr. Tran Duc Thuan thanked and wanted to be supported by Niagara because many DNTU lecturers have participated in the interview but unfortunately the results have not been satisfactory. "I am very happy for the cooperation between the two universities but I hope that in the coming time the cooperation between the two units will have better achievements." Particular attention should be paid to the issue of English and how to study for the rigorous evaluation of American education. "I need preparation for at least two years. Currently, Niagara has an English language center for foreign students. Should thereby learn English in the summer because the summer camp program is very practical. English is a matter of first concern when not a formal student. " Thus, English and access to modern new educational methods are still a major barrier for our faculty and students when they want to study and work in the United States. Maher asked the DNTU to send faculty members on the summer program. In the afternoon of April 14, 2016, the DNTU diplomatic delegation had a visit to Fort Worth and striked up a friendship with Trinity Valley School - TVS. For DNTU (Dong Nai Technology University), heads of the delegation are President Ms. Vo Thi Thanh Hoa and Rector Dr. Phan Ngoc Son together with other 8 teachers attended this meeting. For TVS, a representative of the school is Ms. Judith Kinser - Director of Administration and Financial Aid. Meeting and conversing with Ms. Judith Kinser - Director of Administration and Financial Aid TVS was founded in 1959, an independent, college-preparatory school. There are about 970 students in the school. Over the years, TVS has remained committed to a broad liberal education in the arts and sciences, culminating in the knowledge, skills, and wisdom to enable students to excel at an appropriate college or university. Method of theory together with practice enables students to do the intensive research when they are still at high school TVS is indeed a special place - where children learn, grow, stretch intellectually and personally, create meaning, build lasting relationships with their classmates and their teachers, and develop self-confidence. Moreover, TVS that has well-equipped material facilities is considered as an ideal destination for both parents and their children to make a choice for education. TVS, however, also restricted the number of student each year to 100. At 10am on September 8th, 2016 at the meeting room 1 of DNTU took place welcoming and working between Dong Nai University of Technology and Coleman College - Singapore. This is a working session of the International Cooperation program between the two schools based on the relationships that have been built. Attending the meeting, on the side of Dong Nai University of Technology was Dr. Phan Ngoc Son - the Rector of the school; Dr. Tran Thi Quynh Le - Dean of International Relations Department; MSc Vu Thinh Truong - Dean of Business Administration; MSc Pham Thi Hai Van – Vice Dean of Faculty of Foreign Languages; MSc. Nguyen Dinh Thuat - Dean of Enterprise Relations Department; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Dung - Vice Dean of Communications and Mr. Nguyen Kim Hung - Specialist of the Department of Environmental Science. On the side of Coleman College - Singapore was Mr. Chay Yee – Chairman of the Board; Mr. James Tay - Regional Rector; Mr. Ryan Wang - Marketing Rector and Ms. Julie Nguyen Nghia - Representative of Coleman School in Vietnam. Representatives of the two schools worked at DNTU's meeting room on the morning of September 8th At the beginning of the meeting, Ms. Tran Thi Hanh - International Relations Specialist introduced to Coleman Singapore some basic features of Dong Nai University of Technology. From the process of formation and construction to facilities, organizational structure, training majors, the number of students, faculty, geographic location as well as relationships between DNTU and universities and other colleges in the region and the world. On Coleman's side, Ryan Wang's presentation showed that it was a college founded in 1987 and is now one of Singapore's top 20 edutrust universities. This indicator can be considered as a passport for Coleman students to be learnt and recognized the National and International values. Therefore, Coleman has been visited by many senior leaders of Singapore as well as got many national and international awards. Coleman's specialty is its short, varied short-term training programs, which can combine learning and working in a Standard English environment. This opens up possibilities and prospects for cooperation between the two sides especially, when the DNTU students are being to need to improve their communication skills including English. In the exchange between the two sides, Dr Phan Ngoc Son and Mr Chay Yee gave a feeling which is very friendly, relaxed and joyful about the potential for cooperation between the two sides. Here are some key points: Dr. Phan Ngoc Son - Rector of Dong Nai University of Technology is exchanging ideas Dr. Phan Ngoc Son: Hello lady and gentlemen. I am glad to have friends who have come to work together. This is a good thing. If the link is, we will create good strengths. Together with all of our people here, today we will discuss to going to some unified points for the purpose of training human resources for the business. How we can ensure output, ensure employment conditions for workers. Supporting and service of learners is a condition for our negotiation and work. Mr. Chay Yee: Thank you Mr. Son and the teachers. I have been to Vietnam 20 years ago but have not got results since maybe it is not the right time. This is my first visit to Dong Nai and the university. I find the Principal and the teachers here very young and dynamic. I am delighted that Coleman, after 29 years of development and experience, hopes to give you the tools and confidence to work together. Singapore is not large so our school is not as wide as you, but we have all the necessary conditions for the two sides to work together. I totally agree with Master Son for the purpose of serving. We would like to start with ... the heart. Enthusiastically support all. I look forward to the long and lasting cooperation between our two sides. Mr. Chay Yee - Chairman of the Board of Coleman School - Singapore is exchanging Dr. Phan Ngoc Son: In my point: what brings practical benefits for learners, for students, we do, whether how difficult it is. If you are determined, nothing is impossible. As I mentioned to students: if due to the financial difficulties that have to drop out of school, not dare to self-reliance, ignoring the opportunity to going to be poor forever is a crime. If this is the motivation, the opportunity, you must fulfill, do not hesitate. Act aggressively, that is the message. Mr. Chay Yee: I think our thinking and policy are the same. All for learning environment, knowledge, English and skills. We will have many co-operations and start from the smallest things. Dr. Phan Ngoc Son (laughs) I just came up with the thought: Is it possible? How to do it? We will sign the agreements but then sign them, we do it or not. I have a multi-level learning system, our students study too much, not many facilities and especially the summer courses are not in suitable conditions. What will we start from?  Mr. Chee Yee: Coleman has a variety of programs that are suit with each type of universities and colleges. My wife is also running a small school. In my experience, we first need to exchange information, have a strategy and then going to plan in detail and have time to complete. Moreover, must have a supervisor to ensure the best effect. During the deployment, we can discuss. I pledge that if we cooperate, I will be the most active member. Dr. Phan Ngoc Son: I am thinking: why some universities and colleges that are far away from here, we can cooperate, but in Singapore where is not far, we cannot do. I think there must be a plan right now. Said to do. The documents I sign in the school must be understood as ordinance, must be done, work immediately. I suggest that after this meeting, Coleman's Department of International Relations and Marketing would discuss the details and report the results.
